The first screenshot is this direct from the feed item or after applying? If before is seems to be some preapprovals are going on and then I assume the credit check is to confirm the preapproved amount is still approved?
Does this also mean you may never see the overdraft option depending on Monzoās preapproval soft search deems you not eligible?
I have no options to reduce overdraft limit. When I press ā-ā button overdraft drops to Ā£0ā¦ ā+ā back to Ā£100
Confirm new limit button is active even if I didnāt make any changesā¦

Yup, that first one is the screen direct from the feed before applying, so assuming some pre-approval

The obvious downside of 50p/day is that it is more expensive to borrow very small amounts. Thereās clearly a boundary problem - if you maintain a negative balance of -Ā£21 continually for a year, youād end up paying Ā£185 in charges, or an eye-watering APR of 869%. Borrowing Ā£1000 for the year would be 18.5% APR.
Iāve also just been offered the overdraft. There was no mention of a credit check so Iām assuming itās pre-approved based on my behaviour (or wasnāt there a soft cheek or something a long time ago?)
It gave me a Ā£500 limit.
Anyone from Monzo - what are the criteria? Howās the limit calculated?

So I have been on the waiting list since August but for all I know I have not received the option to apply for one because I am not eligible. But how would I know this over Monzo just not getting to my name on the preview list yet?

The credit search was mentioned to take place when you apply. So there should be some text advising of this as part of applying surely?

. I got Ā£1000 which is slightly more than the Ā£750 Starling approved me for a few months back

I had a notification, then after going to the app and refreshing I had the feed item. Iām on Android
I didnāt get a notification - when I opened the app it was there as a feed item, āoverdrafts are availableā.
I could have missed it but I donāt remember seeing anything mentioning a credit check. It seemed like it was already decided.
Still waiting for mine to come through. Not bothered about the credit check like, I kind of expected it anyways.
