There is no point us chewing over the pros and cons in this thread, Monzo has already decided how the crowdfunding will be done, it is too late to influence the process now. If people have strong opinions they should have raised them before the crowdfunding started. We already knew this second round of crowdfunding was coming after the first round, and it was at that time your thoughts should have been raised.

That’s true for this round of fundraising but hopefully Monzo will consider these suggestions for the next round (if there is another one). Assuming there will be, this is probably the best time to discuss this, while everyone’s fully engaged with the process & ideas are fresh in people’s minds.

You are not wrong, but as someone who joined mid January, I didn’t have the chance to discuss then, and many users joined since last crowdfunding too.
I was simply using current stats to create realistic models for ‘what if’. I didn’t insinuate anywhere that I expect changes to 2nd crowdfunding process, that wouldn’t be fair either.

I agree, as I’ve said all along with only £2.5m to go around then a lot of people are going to end up disappointed

What time is the first draw due to take place?

Presumably you’ll get told either way
The first batch of successful pledgers will be contacted this afternoon via email and be given access to the Crowdcube pitch to complete their investment. 
There will be further batches after this, so if you don’t hear anything today, this does not mean you are unsuccessful.
We’ll be contacting those who are unsuccessful when the pitch has been entirely funded, so until you hear from us, you’re still in the running!

Does anyone have any idea what time the ballot is taking place today and when we would find out if we have been successful? Im very impatient!

I don’t understand what is going on.
Even though new prospective investors are in a ballot I thought existing shareholders were guaranteed their investment and did not need to be in any ballot?
So why have we not heard anything yet?
Be patient, they’ve already said you were guaranteed it. It hasn’t been long since it ended

Existing investors who opted to invest this time round should receive a message from Crowdcube this afternoon, in the first wave of success e-mails.
