I want the gold credit card (retentions only) 
This one. But perhaps it’s not retentions only, but it’s not available to everyone.
I believe what the poster was saying is that they have the gold card design shown on a UK-issued card that’s unavailable for direct applications.
I get some emails from Amex on repeat. In my case I think it’s because I use an email setup that blocks trackers and they can’t tell I’ve opened it.
It’s not as if the places which accept Amex keep it a secret. Anyone thinking of taking an Amex card could just, um, check?
Had issues downgrading my Amex over the phone in January but then discovered the link I put further up the thread which allowed me.
Put in a complaint which was upheld and got £125 credit to my account, which has, with the pro rata refund, effectively given me my membership fee back for this year

To upgrade or downgrade?
It might be, just switch the name to the card you want to downgrade to.
Are you wanting to downgrade to the Gold? I think Amex call it “gold-card” on their website URLs
As a last resort try asking the chat for a link to downgrade if there is one. I don’t know if they are public but in my complaint reply they were sort of public about the BA one:
Anyone recently applied and been approved despite earning less than 20k please? Really want to go for their free rewards card after seeing the picture in another thread, but I recall reading 20k minimum income 
This article on HfP from last summer states what the income criteria is.
Could be out of date now, who knows.

Does anyone know how long I can stay in the Eurostar business lounge in St Pancras?
I’m planning to arrive early to attend a few calls, so in theory could I stay for 2-3 hrs.
Also, separate topic, anyone got the Hilton / Marriott cashback offers on their gold card?
Thanks for that information, in that case I’ll have to find a place to work near to St Pancras.
The public spaces in the British Library are pretty good for this. No problem making phone calls in the parts close to the foyer either.

Any Platinum holders get invited to complete a survey about the benefits of the card?
Looks like they’re reviewing their benefits, asked my views on the existing benefits eg lounge access, elevated hotel membership statuses etc and also what benefits would I like to see introduced eg. coffee subscriptions - which is a bit of a joke to be honest.
