I get all mine around the 19th with payment dates around the 10th. I actually pay them when I get paid so around the end of the month.
You make sure that by end of calendar month, your lender in their app show your balance as what you want it to be, because it is the balance at end of calendar month that they report, together with statement balance, and of course what you paid.
For example if you had your statement having a balance of Ā£1000, with a due date of 20th May; then you donāt make any more transfers after statement date they would report your balance on May 31 as Ā£0.
However if you paid your statement balance of Ā£1000 by due date of say 20th but made more transactions of Ā£500 and didnāt make more payments by 31st, they would report balance at end of 31 May as Ā£500.
Detailed credit credit reports show clear details for Statement balance, payments made, and reported balance at end of month.
The CRA apps use balance at end of calendar month as reported by lenders to calculate your utilisation.
Edit:
I have added a screenshot directly from Equifax
For that same account, what they show as current balance is what was balance on 30th April.
I would agree if they all updated at the end of the month but for example with Experian, I have balances showing from April and last updated in April.
Transunion are showing updates from 1st of May.
Experian free plan intentionally delays to show up to date information to persuade you to buy their subscription. They update my reports between 19th-21. Even when I get a hard search, they notify me but wonāt tell me (lenderās name) until next update.
I currently have a notification I know it is from Santander current accounts but they donāt show. ![]()

I got a statutory report and Santander is sitting there.
Equifax updates usually on 12th.
Transunion seems to update weekly.
Equifax updates weekly on ClearScore.
And I get instant notifications about TU with Monzo Perks.
I want you to check your Clearscore report weekly as you compare with what is on Equifax weekly.
You will notice that Clearscore report becomes static after some time until the next time Equifax updates your report.
I have both and can tell the difference.
You have now made me discover something funny with Clearscore.
3 days ago it said my report has been updated and yesterday I got an email to check my updated report.
I have checked all accounts show balances reported end of April.
It also shows next update in 3 days. ![]()

One more app to leave my phone now.
Yeah that annoys me too, the timings never match up. Iāve also had it say āupdates in 1 dayā for 3 days. Not a great app really.
Funny thing is the soft searches and hard searches show early.
I may have to stick to statutory reports after all I have no use for scores
No one should subject themselves to the horrible inaccuracy of ClearScore. I binned my account and have not look back since then.![]()
If I want to view my Equifax points, itās already on Perks.
Monzo just canāt find my Equifax.
Equifax can find me. Monzo canāt.
I noticed my Equifax on Monzo tends to freeze for ages. ![]()
How did you come to conclusion Monzo canāt find you on Equifax? Does it not display any scores?
Oh how I wish support were actually usefulā¦
They quite literally have given me an overdraft and I have Flex so⦠I would love to just turn 18 again ![]()
Then they point me to the TransUnion website when the TransUnion score shows fine in Monzo.
Edit: is there a polite way of saying āYou donāt know what youāre talking aboutā?
That response doesnāt even make sense to what Iām asking them.
Yes. Say, āCan I speak to a human, please?ā ![]()
āShouldāve gone to Specsaversā
I one time asked someone on chat if they were reading what I was typing. Three times they were responding with something completely unrelated.
Monzo found both my TU and Equifax on my 18th Birthday, moments after I signed up for Monzo Perks.
I wish we could still see Experian in monzo.
I wanna scream.
This is where Iāve always hit a wall trying to get this sorted. Monzo shows fine on Equifax. So they can talk to each other.
Also why would I contact TransUnion for an Equifax issue?
Also: MY LENDER IS YOU MONZO. YOU ARE THE LENDER. YOU ARE THE ISSUE.
Speak to a humanā¦escalate to a complaint may be.
