Hi,

Just a few thoughts as I attempt to become better with my money, it would be good transactions could be auto categorised using AI or otherwise. Or at least be able to set defaults for example tesco can be groceries/fuel and so on. Following on for that, it would be good to take pictures of our receipts and attach them to a transaction. My thinking is long term with OCR, it would be easier to know where money is going and allow proper analysis on how spending can be optimised, identify long term trends, link it to cashback? so users can get a pop up when they missed out on deals.

I’d like Monzo to evolve into a platform that becomes my digital money assistant, helping me to save where it can, identify waste expensive or improvements in spending habits.

AI asking for AI? That’s a new one.

I mean AI helping you to Categorise your spending and Analysing the receipts on your behalf to provide insights.

This already happens. Nothing to do with AI.

Lets keep generative AI out of personal finance (or at the minimum default to off). Personal finance needs to be fully testable, not “sort of works most of the time”.
