Activate card by scanning with camera

Hi, just setup my Mondo card :slight_smile:. It would be cool if you could scan the new card (similar to Apple Pay) to detect the number instead of typing it.

I don’t see the option and I was’nt prompted during setup for camera access.

That’s all for adding a new top up card. If I’m reading the topic and original post right, @joshbennett is talking about activating the Mondo card using the camera and the nine digit code in the lower left of the card? That I don’t believe the app can do currently.

It’d be fairly difficult to do that, as Card.IO/similar only work with the normal 16 digit number - not arbitrary numbers.

There is also the question of whether the 9 digit numbers will continue to exist once Mondo is issuing their own cards. I would suspect not.

It’s definitely on our list of awesome ideas and @andys keeps threatening to do it :wink:
