I can see Yonder closing in the next 2-3 years if they don’t find a way to become mainstream with people’s banking.
I got their free debit card, the offering on a free card like that is way more than what other providers do.
Their card also looks good.
It is a debit card I may use together with my Lloyds Premier.
I see nothing suggesting they are struggling, only that their paid plans are quite pricey which I understand I am not the target market but will keep the free one.
I don’t think that was ever their goal - they pick population centres and then get experiences there.
I think their real selling point is just “here’s some stuff in your area”. Unfortunately, I’ve seen nothing interesting to me besides Yonder hotels (but they’ve nothing that interesting on there either).
I have 22k
What? It’s an offer, and arguably worse than previous offers.
I really don’t get the through process that a company is desperate or going under because they run an offer. Banks are constantly offering money to switch. I don’t see HSBC falling any time soon.
If I remember correctly, didn’t Lloyds & Halifax send out a few months ago emails about “interest free purchases” reminding of the same T&Cs?
I’ve been paying off my balance every month so I wasn’t aware the 56-day interest free period is only applicable if the balance of previous month is always paid off. ![]()
I have applied again for the “Full Debit Card”
My application has gone “For Review” again.
But hopefully can be approved this time
@jo fingers crossed!
Hopefully you get approved
mine was pretty much instant.
Mine almost instantly went “under review”
But I am positive.
Someone in my office has the Full Credit Card but he lives in Canary Wharf so can take more advantage of the rewards then me living in Milton Keynes ![]()
I’m a big advocate and first got the card when I lived in London. Been out of London for 2 years now and I still find it really useful. I either spend points on restaurants when I visit London or i buy stuff from their online partners. I’ve ordered a fair bit of wine and I particularly like the butchers boxes on Farmfetch, which appears quite regularly. Think they’re working more and more on how it works for those not in one of the current cities they’re live in
I just stash the Yonder points and will eventually redeem them for a hotel stay. Besides that I don’t think there’s much value in them (and I definitely don’t go out of my way to earn them).
No value for you, others will get value.
But I’m used to your persistent negativity no matter the topic of discussion
I’m sure they will. They probably live in one of the supported cities or have different interests to me?
Thanks for thinking more about my posts than I do? I don’t know why saying “this thing isn’t for me” is negative in your mind
@EricMG i signed up (again), app is smoother than it was when I last used it a while back.
Didn’t require ID for it either.
I also get £10 off my first spend or something.
It’s honestly decent for a spending only account. Especially when your main bank is Lloyds.
Fast app loading and nice UI. The only gripe I have is notifications are broken at the moment and no vibration.
If you’re iPhone create a shortcut “vibrate when I receive a notification from Yonder app” and it’ll create it, works seamlessly for Lloyds and Barclays having set it up for them.
So… I’m not on the new BETA. But I have seen your messages on the Lloyds thread about this. I believe you did it with the new shortcut generator where you tell it what you want?
Ooooh. Let me have a play around ![]()
Edit: it doesn’t let me …
iOS 27 developer beta 6 is very worthwhile, there’s a public beta 4 I think too. Makes iOS 26 look awful, and what 26 should’ve been.
Not encountered any problems to be fair.
Also, I have missed a lot of points:
Just check if that’s worth it vs 3% with zopa
