Yonder Card Chat

Got a notification:

I can’t work out the points though.

£1.29 = 5 points
£2.05 = 8 points

I’m guessing it’s tiered:

£1.00-£1.24 = 4 points
£1.25-£1.49 = 5 points
£1.50-£1.74 = 6 points
£1.75-£1.99 = 7 points
£2.00-£2.24 = 8 points

Not enough real world examples to figure out yet though.

1 point for every 25p I think it is.

Anyone who has redeemed rewards, am I right in thinking you need to be able to cover the entire bill initially, and then choose to use points?

With a credit card it’s probably not an issue but if now you’re topping up a debit card you have to think about the amount loaded on.

So if a bill is going to be £100, but I can redeem £50 rewards, do I need £100 initially on the card and then redeem £50 or can you spend with £50 on and then top the bill up with reward points?

This reads as:

You pay with Yonder - it sends a notification how you want to earn or redeem, and then balances the final amount within the app.

Look like you’d need to pay in full first, and get the money back through the redeem notification.

NatWest Invests in Yonder – experience-focused credit card platform | NatWest Group

Not sure if this was mentioned back in April.

I got the Yonder credit card last week and just had the invite for the debit card which I’m excited to try out.
One thing though, did I make up Yonder offering a metal card for the pro version? My card came through and it’s definitely not metal and I can’t find any text to say metal but I could have sworn blind they offered it…?

I recall seeing it in the past but can’t find it any more.

Ask via the chat in app, they’re pretty responsive.

They definitely did used to say metal.

Now I can only see “Premium card”.

I messaged and apparently they have removed the metal card option for plastic, regardless of account type.

That’s a shame; it was a selling point.

I received a replacement metal card before they decided to discontinue it. While the core is still a thin sheet of metal, it’s now wrapped in vinyl that looks cheap and unappealing. The original metal card, which I’ve kept, was vastly superior in every way.

Shame, but I think people love metal cards when they can’t have them and don’t care about them when they can have them.

At least in here, it’s a very up and down relationship.

Bought stuff from first experience and it was quite a nice process. Easy to choose which option I wanted to use.

I didn’t think so but was worth a shot:

Is your account now suspended? :joy:

Even more important question. Is yours still suspended & no support from them at all :sob:

Yup, nada.

That’s painful. Did it click your Credit Card too or is it only the prepaid account you have?
