I don’t care if they do MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY however it must be consistent.

It might be simpler to do YYYY/MM/DD to be honest.
Also it would make most sense to use the operating system settings.
I think words avoid all confusion.
True but the USA writes and says it August 1st 2020 where as the UK writes and says it 1st August 2020
