Hi! Quite new to Monzo All good so far! I travel to Tunisia in 2 weeks time Can I use my Monzo account card over there? Also I will be using my Monzo credit card for the first time Had anyone used one while abroad Our daughter has Monzo and tried to use it on a flight The air hostess said we don’t take it This was last September Has anyone else tried to use it on a flight ? Thanks all🙂
Hi @Nutterles & welcome ![]()
Monzo works almost everywhere. I’ve only experienced a few issues - mainly in the US with outdated point-of-sale equipment. Tunisia won’t be a problem (see link below)
Airlines can be problematic. Despite announcing up-front that ‘pre-paid’ cards like Monzo/Revolut/etc. can’t be used, I’ve paid with Monzo every time (using Google Pay) and never had an issue.
Have a good trip ![]()
We travel to Tunisia next week Has anyone bought from shops etc with a Monzo card I’ve put money in as it’s for a holiday Can it be used in hotel to exchange to Dinars Don’t want to be embarrassed over a payment not going through when I know money is their!!!Also does anyone have an overdraft with Monzo and used on holiday Also taking money out of ATM Thought all was straight forward with MONZO
Hello, most places in Tunisia should let you to “use your Monzo card in Tunisia”. It should be accepted everywhere that accepts ‘Mastercard’ and is typically accepted at ATMs as well. Depending on the airline, it may be possible to use it on flights. Certain airlines may only take specific credit cards, or their payment system may not support all credit cards. It definitely depends, but I’ve seen it work in the past. It’s a good idea to “bring another card or some cash just in case.
