Whilst climate change will cost us a mere $38 trillion or so.
(I don’t agree with all of their methods but still important not to lose sight of the scale of the immediate global threat they were protesting about).

I completely agree that climate change is a huge issue that will cost us trillions
But I have to admit, it’s been hard to not be more annoyed at JSO and not stop caring about it, they are really counter productive
I think if they had caused me to miss a flight, I’d never be able to care again until the consequences really came down
The problem has always been that most people are probably sympathetic to their cause and agree action needs to be taken, but holding up people just trying to go to work driving the only car they can afford doesn’t really help anything. I get that they’re causing disruption to make a point to force leaders to act but it’s never been the right approach. Especially when they’ve held up ambulances. The people their protests directly affect don’t have any influence on environmental policies.
True, but no one else is doing anything about it either. At least they are trying something I guess.
I wonder if it’s related to this?
Sadly, my work laptop is working fine
That’s the kind of bug I have nightmares of
Will be closing my account after this, imagine what they can do to your credit file accidentally
It’ll be something like, Stripe said a weird error and they just spam the try again API in response until their account got rate limited
Seen this happen at a place I freelanced at before, Stripe hates it and will grill them hard aswell
I feel sorry for those CrowdStrike guys right now
It looks like someone pushed buggy code…
Though if I was a developer at Zilch I’d be trying that story to keep my job today
What a terrible shame for this tragic incident to strike at 9AM on Friday morning, looks like I have to walk the dog in the sun!
Thankfully they didn’t do that with the £71 instalment I had due today as well…
This IT outage is worldwide and insane. They pushed a patch for a driver directly into the kernel remotely. Surely they must have some quality gates or like a few people as quality gates before pushing a change that would break literally the world IT services
Teams been working fine here from 8am this morning.
It is impacting so many different systems. Wonder how quick any fix would be. It seems online that any fix would have to be in-person, so could take a while.
Yes, its a little bit crazy
Workaround if anyone needs its
1. Boot Windows into Safe Mode or WRE.
3. Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike
4. 3. Locate and delete file matching "C-00000291*.sys"
4. Boot normally.
It could certainly attract some of the younger voters who were put off by having a choice between two old white men…
Also, Trump is now the oldest person to be nominated by a major party and often confuses people and drifts off into rambling nonsense. I wonder if the media will scrutinise him in the same way that they did with Biden?
My personal opinion on Trump aside; I don’t think his rants are in any way comparable to the issues Biden has rambling and being incoherent.
This is my fear, too.
Coincidentally, Hitler was narrowly missed by a bullet in the mid 1930s and Mussolini was grazed by a would be assassin’s bullet also.
And they both claimed providential protection because of it.
