I have an idea for improving split bill. I went out for a meal with colleagues where I could get 10% cashback from Monzo. We wanted to split the bill, but as the cashback is paid after the transaction the bill was split without taking the cashback into account, so my colleagues would get the 10% cashback discount. It would be great if split bill could optionally include the specific cashback discounts, or allow you to manually reduce the overall bill by a percentage or an amount, so you could make that determination manually.
I know what you mean, by the time the cash-back comes through, your friends have paid you too much. However, it’s a no-win situation when the cashback isn’t credited till a later date. There’s always the possibility that you don’t get the cashback for one reason or another, so if you’ve already deducted it, you might have to go back to your friends for more money, or just swallow the difference yourself.

I think that’s why I’m suggesting it being an optional part of splitting a bill, so you can make the decision to pass on your hoped for discount, or not. Just being able to make the calculation in the split bill feature rather than in your head would be a help.
