I would like to see the option to create a standing order which pays the balance off a pot at the time.
The use case for this is mortgage overpayments. What I would really like to do is this:
- Set roundups to max and pay them in to a pot (can do this now)
- Create a standing order for my overpayments to mortgage to pay monthly (can do this now)
- Make the amount for the standing order “balance in pot” so it basically takes the balance of the pot at the time and pays that amount (cannot do this now)
I think this is a neat way of encouraging savings and paying off things automatically.
Other use cases could be overpaying debt like loans or auto sending the pot balance to an ISA. Lots of possibilities.
