To be entirely fair, with that comparison Revolut has an advantage in that it has a completely free tier while Swedbank seems to charge for even a basic account.
Did anyone else get the survey asking why you haven’t been using your card recently? I know Revolut relies a lot on interchange, but it did strike me as a bit much
It’s only not free if you’ve only just signed up, after a while they’ll give you the card for free. I’ve never paid for a card and I’ve got 3 physical ones.
Same. So the survey was actually a bit strange, because it also asked why I haven’t ordered a new card. Errr, because I already have three I don’t use much anymore!
I think they’ve missed a trick so far by issuing so many cards without the option of linking them to a specific currency account and/or vault
That would be useful, but I suppose the current system of it using that currency if available and using your base currency if not makes more sense for the majority of people.
That being said, I’d appreciate specific-currency cards in certain occasions; for example, local-currency card to avoid DCC prompts, or to avoid automatic conversion in other occasions (the one that really springs to mind is one time after a whirlwind shopping trip in Europe we’d decided to have the VAT refunds deposited to my card because the idea was that having a Euro “account” on it would mean it could be deposited in Euros and thus avoid Global Blue’s exchange surcharge- nope, deposited in US$ with 5% or so taken off the top anyways).
Not really got much more to say than share this bit:
The new talks would mean the digital bank is now worth six times more than it was a year ago - after seeing its losses double.
I mean that sort of thing might make some vague sense for Uber, but Revolut are competing against huge established companies that actually make large profits year on year
I still have this nagging worry that an overvalued fintech (possibly Revolut) will spectacularly fail and drag down (more realistic?) valuations across the piece.
In 2019 I read article, if you want to get a job ar Revolut, you need to on board at least 10 people as customers, but preferably 20
And all that during the application process
