I think there’s enough of a distinction between the two ideas to keep them separate IMO.
An overdraft pot that gets drawn from were your account to go in the red in order to keep you in the green is different than simply not wanting to be charged for overdraft utilisation when money in pots effectively means you’re not overdrawn if you perceive pots as merely visual segregation for budgeting purposes (not actual separate accounts). A paradigm that’s really muddied by savings pots.
