I am on a beta android app - will this appear for me, or do I need to leave beta?

Are you allowed to use a different email? This might work as I saw a post on here last year about trying that.

However it might cause the account to be closed in the future as it’s probably violating something.

Can we have more than 1 savings pot?
Also, it would have been really useful to convert existing pots.

If they don’t want to offer multiple pots could they at least offer a way of segregating the money within the pot? So I can effectively earmark X amount of the money in the pot for ‘Holiday’ :man_shrugging:t2:

The more I think about this, the more I really don’t understand this artificial limitation.

It’s a bit like someone’s gone “oh we don’t want it to be too popular” and “we don’t want to cannibalise the margin we’re getting from current accounts”. But that person hasn’t really used Monzo or understood how the customer base uses pots.

And they haven’t really clicked that you absolutely have to cannibalise your old products - if you don’t, someone else will do it for you. And you’ll lose bigger.

100%… wish I could have kept my old pots going… but they were earning basically nothing in interest so wasn’t worth it for me… Its now all in the new savings pot… but I’ve hidden it

I can’t understand the logic of only being able to open one pot per account. Perhaps if it had been a cash ISA then that would be understandable, but these are vanilla savings accounts.

Although it’s a great start for in-house savings products. I’m sure the fact that it would cause average customer balances to increase markedly two weeks before the financial year end is entirely coincidental :wink:
