Our all-new Savings Pot is here šŸŽ‰

Very sad face emoji

I wonder if it will pop up for me if I downgrade from Plus and upgrade again

Hoping they also allow scheduled withdrawals from savings pot, have to currently use IFTTT to schedule withdrawals from savings pot (e.g food budget weekly)

@N26throwaway

Please excuse me if Iā€™m misunderstanding your post. Is that figure of 12k correct?

A minimum balance of 12k for a year at 4.6% should give an annual return of about Ā£550

To cover my cost of Plus Iā€™ve calculated I need a minimum constant balance of just over Ā£1300.

Yes. 0.5% (the Monzo Plus bonus) of Ā£12k is Ā£60.

Thatā€™s how much I would need to have saved inside a Monzo savings pot to match the ROI I get from Chase if I was return and get Plus back.

So thereā€™s no incentive here for those of us who have already moved since the plus interest change to come back. Itā€™s just matching the product weā€™ve left for (but being less useful).

Just wanted to say that the previous setup, you were limited to only the first Ā£2,000 on 1%. So in reality you made Ā£20 a year, the new setup youā€™re losing Ā£10ā€¦but technically making more as you have more available cash to put in the savings pot. Just something to consider.

I earned it on my bills pot though, thatā€™s the difference. It was the only thing keeping both Plus and Monzo as my justifiable main bank account over switching sooner.

In hindsight, I should have done it much sooner.

To reap the same plus offset, Iā€™d still need Ā£4000. And the facility for earning that on the money sitting in my bills pots and credit card pots and for stoozing doesnā€™t exist, so that functionality is still lost either way.

Understandable, suppose the only difference now is above Ā£4000, youā€™re now better off than you were before

Iā€™m still getting this. The app ā€˜feature flagā€™ to enable multiple pots is still set to false for my account, so no extra IASP just yet for me.

Mind me asking where you see this?

Donā€™t mind at all!

Ignoring all the necessary rooted Android device requirements, simply click/tap on my avatar at the top-left of this post and then click/tap on the ā€˜docs.googleā€¦ā€™ link. This will take you to an external (Google Docs) index page which shows the teardowns of each app version and the accompanying Feature Flags and Experiments. You can then select the app version and see the intricate details for clues of upcoming features.

Iā€™ve been tearing down the :monzo: app for a while now, although Iā€™ve been changing platforms along the way so only the last 5 months of teardowns are shown in the current index.

Ah so itā€™s got to be a rooted android!

There was me thinking they still did the changelogs somewhere.

Awesome! Iā€™ll take a look!

Yeah, it comes from a rooted device using the superior platform (ducks)

Bear in mind - the core app breakdown (Strings / IDs / Assets) are specific to the app code version being analysed. But the real-time control files (Feature-Flags / Experiments) are pushed to a device on an account-by-account basis by the Monzo servers and so can change at any time without being linked to the core-app releases.

Easy way to do OTA updates without an update I guess!
