Other bank accounts in your Monzo App?

Yeah I would absolutely love to be able to see other accounts in Monzo, so if I ever had to spend elsewhere (be it credit card or something else) so that I could still have all my spending in my Monzo targets and tracking, given that’s maybe the best feature IMO.

Loyalty cards would also be fantastic as I can’t think of a single loyalty scheme/app I have which isn’t a hassle/pain to get any useful information out of…

Nope, you’ve drastically under-estimated the power of long passwords. Even you knew which characters were the letters, digits and punctuation characters (which you don’t), that would still be 52^18 * 10^3 * 15 ^ 3 possible passwords to test, or 2.6 * 10^37. If you could test a trillion hashes a second, it would still take you quadrillions of years. Long passwords are brute-force-proof.

Just saw this on the community update email. It would be great if i could view everything in one place and if that means monzo doing the work and porting the accounts together then that’s a great idea.

Yes to wanting to see other accounts. No to wanting to save passwords in Monzo (or any app in fact!)

I’m leaving my old bank for a reason as @anon91821566 did as placing a vote of confidence in Monzo, frankly because my old bank sucks.

I’m more interested in marketplace providers who offer the best savings/investments products on the market.

It seems that screenscraping would go against everything that Monzo stands for. If I need to use my legacy bank, it’s got its own app or the fee occasions I need to use it.

what about products that Monzo cannot / will not offer? ie Credit Cards, savings, ISAs, LISAs, Mortgages, Loans

Even if there is a basic calculator feature to input mortgage/loan information (i have an excel one where i put in start date, APR, loan amount and loan duration).

I cant keep track of a loan I have at all, its useful to just know a brief overview of all accounts, I think.

Those will be provided by other banks via the marketplace

Yes, I’d be more than happy. My ‘old’ bank has changed their T&C’s already to include this option, but I prefer the simplicity of the monzo app.
I’d trust you, on the proviso if your security systems did happen to be compromised you would replace anything that did get lost (same as if my ‘old’ bank card gets skimmed etc and the bank takes the hit).

In principle a fine idea but only if it could do everything. A real success would include my current accounts at three other banks, a handful of credit cards with varying balances, a Sipp, other savings and an ISA.

YES PLEASE. There are a few of these apps about, but they are mainly poor. A read only option could also be configurable in the app. PLEASE ensure fingerprint login though.

I’d like to be able to store loyalty cards in Monzo. I currently use StoCard. The fewer apps, the better.

Isn’t this what Android Pay is designed to do?

Have a look at this thread. Hopefully as this third-party integration develops, it will take care of the loyalty issue, too, even if it’s not an area Monzo addresses.

Yeah this is a good idea. I would like to see my daily spending in one place. And keep the budget in one place too. Hope it supports credit cards too and is quick with the notifications.

I hadn’t thought about adding your spend on other cards/accounts to the budget/spending… That’s an interesting idea. Thanks

Seriously love this idea. Should it be on the trello ideas board? @whoever is able to do things like that?

Hopefully it’ll get on there soon.

If PSD2 is around the corner why not wait?

This of course cannot happen until Pots are available. but a read-only pot which just shows balance is a very boring pot.

And if I need to see my Metrobank Balance, I can just go into the app. One more app on the home screen never hurt anyone.

Simon addressed this earlier in the thread:

In addition it’d be great (although maybe not possible?) if things like NS&I bonds, and pensions could be included?
