I’m moving my budgeting over from Moneyhub since that’s shutting down eventually. I really like how it has a “Transaction Inbox”. Each day I review the inbox, where transactions are given categories automatically but I must accept each one or change th category. If I’m lazy, I can “Accept All” anyway.
Bonus feature: if there are multiple very similar transactions, e.g. I ordered from deliveroo twice in a row, when I accept/change one transaction it offers to accept/change all of the other similar transactions too. Great feature.
I love this for two reasons:
- Sometimes the auto categories are wrong. This ensured my spending insights are accurate.
- I get to reflect on what I spent money on since I last reviewed the inbox.
I doubt everyone would want this, but I love the feature and would love it in Monzo!
