Since day one (2nd Aug) I was suggesting to be named by our nicknames in the help chat, instead of our legal name.
What do you think?

I’d agree, this fits in very nicely with building an inclusive bank too. Though nickname and legal name aren’t the terms I would go for, preferred name is much better for these uses.
We’re totally aware of this. We know it sucks but I’m afraid it’s a limitation that comes from the off-the-shelf software we use for our customer support channel (one the few pieces of the app that it’s not bespoke).
I’m sure we will be able to solve it at some point, but it might take a bit long

Yeah it’s super easy. We send First “Nick” Last to Intercom so the customer support person can see both the legal and nick name.
