Definitely works with the live chat, Iāve used it numerous times. It isnāt as fast as FD but still tends to be a knowledgeable real person on the other end.
Another good branch experience this morning moving my sonās ancient passbook savings account into a FlexOne Saver. They updated the passbook before closing it and had to start a new one which amazingly has the new logo:

Only thing I can see that remains is 1% on balances up to £1500? Am I missing anything?
To add - you can normally convert between account types yourself using online banking (though not the app).
The lack of push notifications and some more detail over payments (reference numbers, locations, etc.) notwithstanding, Nationwide is increasingly looking like all the ay-to-day account Iād need. Just about everything else now woks really well, and the blasted card reader is an (almost) forgotten relic of oden days.

Have none of you had the biometric authentication enabled yet?
I had to use the card reader to set up biometric authentication, but havenāt needed it again since. I noticed the other day that for one transaction (I canāt remember which) the card reader wasnāt even given as an option for authentication. I would have had a Nationwide account years ago if theyād have got rid of it sooner - they better not bring it back! ![]()
So do I, but itās not very accurate. For example, last Wednesday I bought a meal at McDonaldās near Kettering on the A14. Then on Friday I bought a drink at the McDonaldās in Swiss Centre in London. Both transactions are showing as having taken place at the McDonaldās in Kettering town centre.
I can only tell you what Iāve found. Sometimes, like at your shop, itās spot on. Other times, not so much. ![]()
Itās there for most - even if itās the head office rather than the branch (Lidl) - but that might be the only number given for the Lidl in town. I found an Esso with no website or number, but the location was correct. TfL was website onlt.
It is on some but not on all the app wont allow me to take screen shots i have android phone have noticed they are taken using apple
How long did you have the account before they enabled the biometric? Only opened this account last week but hoping I donāt have to wait too long.
I have had my account since August but not sure how long ago it was
I just set it up using the card reader. Iād had the account a while, but my children were able to setup biometric straight way on their accounts.
Face icon top-right on the home page > biometrics > follow both sets of instructions for device & account.
If thereās usually a waiting period I donāt know how long it is, sorry.
I had to upload my passport and verify with a selfie during the application.
There may have been an option to provide ID in a branch, I donāt recall.
