I don’t know if somebody has accidentally flicked a switch by accident at Monzo, but… this month I’ve been getting feed notifications for all my subscriptions the same way you do for new direct debits, they say something like manage my recurring payments for x merchant.
It’s the same notification of click on to assign my dd to a pot, if I click on the notifications for subscriptions it still say can’t be paid from pot
Im a little confused, please help me.
I want to find out how to enable my monzo plus £5 subscription can be paid from my subscriptions pot.
the only thread about it I found on here was closed and merged with this thread. The answer doesn’t seem to be in here.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don’t think it’s possible to at the moment
When I had Plus, I just created a monthly standing order from my subscription pot to my main account on the day it was taken.
This is the one of the most wanted feature, you can pay the whole nine yards with a pot not the monzo plus subscription.
It’s not even close to the most wanted I’m afraid.
Just off this community alone it doesn’t even rank in the top 20 requests. (I stopped counting after this)
I would love this feature a lot! It’s the thing holding me back from plus for sure. I would want plus so that I have all known outgoings paid from pots, so that I would never need to have loose money in the main account.

While there’s never a guarantee, I’d guess this will come to the app in the initial shape of being able to pay flex & loan payments from a pot. By logical progression, the Plus/Premium payment should then follow 
The latest version of the app is 4.30.0. Back in version V.25.0, the following feature flag was put in the app code:

Feature flags allow Monzo to activate existing features in the code remotely. So new features may already be there, but they don’t work (or aren’t even visible) until a corresponding feature flag is set to “true”
Then in app version 4.27.0, the following strings were introduced:
<string name="bills_pot_intro_find_out_more_section_three_body_including_loans_and_flex">"You can pay standing orders, Direct Debits and any Flex or loan payments without needing Monzo Plus or Monzo Premium. Do this by: • finding your payments in the scheduled section of the payments tab and selecting a Pot • selecting the payments you want to set money aside for from the Pot itself. When a standing order, Direct Debit, Flex payment or loan payment is due, we’ll move the money needed from the Pot into your available balance and pay from there. If there’s not enough money in your Pot we’ll move as much as we can from your Pot and then pay the difference from your available balance. If there’s still not enough to cover it, the payment will decline or you will go into your arranged overdraft, if you have one."</string>

Strings such as these point to text/descriptions of new in-app features.
So it looks like it is being prepared (and may already be in the app now) - my guess is that is being dogfooded by 
staff at this stage. If it is ever released, the ability to pay the Plus/Premium monthly charge from a desginated pot would hopefully follow too.
Thanks for the welcome mate! I hope you are right! I’ve seen that flex payments from a pot have been released, so I do hope this follows soon as you suspect.
I actually went for plus anyway for the virtual card which is nice and isolates all my subscriptions to a pot (apart from Monzo). Paying that £5 for plus from a pot each month would be the icing on the cake and mean I never need to worry about any subscriptions again

I love the irony that I can pay everything from a pot, now that I have Monzo Plus, except for the Monzo Plus subscription 
My thoughts exactly, amusingly it blocks one of its own use cases. Let’s hope it gets updated one day, so we can truly have all subscriptions paid from pots!
I recently signed up to Monzo plus as I’m a big fan of monzo and everything they offer… one thing i’d like to see is the ability to pay my monzo plus subscription out of a pot.
I know that some subscriptions can be set to come straight out of a pot but why not monzo plus? i want to set aside money for my subscription in a pot and not have to worry about and make it that payments for plus come out of this pot.
Your subscription comes out on the same date every month. Set a scheduled deposit into your pot on payday and a scheduled withdrawal when payment is due.
