Monzo Credit Card - what and why!

Oh, it’s coming. Might not be a ‘credit card’ though.

I’m suspecting a line of credit with variable interest, no physical card by default (one available with a charge/delivery fee) and paid from a pot or dedicated credit account - like a Monzo Loan is.

You start off at a point which is within a set number of credit limits (depending on your Monzoism™ activity) and advance to higher limits as you pay back your credit in a controlled manner.

Cashback too…

So… a credit card.

Let’s see… I could be wrong. I could be right.

Hot Coral sausage isn’t that AKA sea cucumber.

 Edible but I don’t fancy eating one :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

sea cucumber is actually delicious, and also incredibly expensive.

Both a fresh form and a dried form are used for cooking, though its preparation is complex due to its taste being entirely “tasteless and bland”.[16][ self-published source? ] In the Suiyuan shidan, the Chinese Qing Dynasty manual of gastronomy, it is in fact stated: “As an ingredient, sea cucumbers have little to no taste, are full of sand, and are fishy in smell. For these reasons, it is also the most difficult ingredient to prepare well.”(海參,無味之物,沙多氣腥,最難討好。) Much of the preparation of sea cucumber goes into cleaning and boiling it, then stewing it in meat broths and extracts to infuse each sea cucumber with flavour.[17]

I think I’d rather use Tofu as a starting point

Chinese folk belief attributes male sexual health and aphrodisiac qualities to the sea cucumber, as it physically resembles a phallus, and uses a defence mechanism similar to ejaculation as it stiffens and squirts its own entrails at the aggressor.

Does Monzo overdraft report to the credit agencies? One main reason I use credit cards is to ensure that I’m actively using / paying off some credit (important for keeping high credit score)

Personally, I’d be careful about trying to use an overdraft to boost your credit score. It won’t always been seen favourably, and it will cost you money. Using a credit card and paying it off in full each month is a much better way of improving your credit record.

Ah sorry should have been clearer - I was actually thinking with respect to a hypothetical Monzo Credit Card (main chat point)

I was wondering whether the Monzo Credit Card would report to credit agencies (and was thinking that it would if the overdraft would)

Personally I do use credit card to get my credit score high - its one of the main reasons i use a credit card

Yes, Monzo reports your current account and overdraft the Credit Reference Agencies. And if Monzo did a credit card then we’d report that as well.

Hypothetically, if Monzo launched another borrowing product that enabled you to take out credit which had some features of a credit card but wasn’t actually called a “credit card” then we’d report that to the Credit Reference Agencies as well :slightly_smiling_face:

When would they hypothetically be launching this hypothetical product :eyes:
