Better than the accounts we get here on the mainland :joy:

If those benefits are something you would you, you should definitely go for it. Not sure if you would be willing to keep the £10,000 in the account but the £20 monthly fee is easily made back from those account benefits.

*I see the Worlwide travel insurance is up to 62 days per trip, that is double what we get here on main land.

*Car hire discounts, I doubt we get that.
*AA breakdown European cover included we get nothing on the mainland Premier account.

This looks a better deal for that fee.

Isn’t car hire discounts like a MC World Elite / Visa Infinite benefit?

This is Premier account, not World Elite credit

Yeah but the car hire benefit is tied to the card. It’s possible to get world elite / visa infinite on a debit card. Which I’m guessing is what this is.

@tired Yeah, I think it has a good benefit. Do you think the debit car will be the same as the mainland one? Btw, just wonder how to manage the £10,000 balance, does it need to be in the account from the beginning of the month until end of the month midnight?

If it’s like the fee-waiver on my mainland Lloyds account, you need to maintain the Ā£10k balance for the whole month. If it dips below, you have to make it back up by the end of the day or the fee for that month gets charged.

Jersey Citizen and holder of that account here!

It’s a good account with some nice benefits. But only really worth it if you make use of the benefits of the account or hold more then Ā£10K in the account.

If you travel outside of Jersey a lot then its a good account with some amazing benefits.

I can confirm the card is the same between the free one and the premier plus account.

Hi! Can you take a picture how the card looks like? Just curious

I wonder if I will have an additional bank account or switch from my HSBC CI, I have a credit card with them and my salary goes there.

I live on the mainland now but still keep Santander & Lloyds International on me as they have all of my Payees for Jersey and also my friends and family have those accounts saved.

Yes it is.

This particular account has Visa Signature last time I checked.
Main land premier account has standard Visa card.

Visa signature, with the linked account benefits.

I think you may have to ask Lloyds. I have no experience with this account.

My card image must have changed recently in the app as I’ve not seen it like this before - is this a generic Lloyds Jersey debit card?

Apple Pay still shows it as a plain old Visa with a backwards horse. As far as I know I haven’t got any benefits with my account apart from maybe lightweight travel insurance, as I think the account was tweaked and relaunched a while ago.

Lloyds cards don’t update when you change plans etc so the app design will show the latest for your account, but Apple Pay just stays as whatever you added it as originally.

Ah ok, don’t want to risk removing and adding Lloyds cards on my old phone just in case something stuffs up

They fixed the Apple wallet issue, they can resolve it over the phone apparently.

Do you know if there’s any way of forcing it to update the image?

Has anybody had any issues with their visa Lloyds cards being unexpectedly declined online?

Keeps happening on my employers voucher discount platform. I put in the correct card details, enter the OTP from Lloyds and the transaction declines.

I do the same transaction with my Halifax MasterCard and it goes through no problem.

Will speak to Lloyds next week, there’s no reference of the delince on their app!

Basically loyds gives my money to everybody apart from me it’s day light robbery to be honest I think banks were created just to steal from me even from just a thought or to to an asset or too even to a coin or too so why does half a coin exsist
