🐎 Lloyds Banking Group Chat

Never noticed it. Do you have personalised marketing turned off in settings (it’s in 2 difference screens in settings for some reason too)

I’ve not noticed that in settings before, but just checked and mine is unticked so should be personalised. I wonder what other product ads could appear based on transactions, and how they are flagged.

Back then I had one asking me to get a credit card with them on a Payment to the NewDay Amazon card.
I didn’t have a credit card with Lloyds at that time though, so I thought it was targeted.

But it has now been several years since I started using network level ad blockers and don’t see such again.

Did that break the spending insights on web and app?

Lol no idea, I heard its a shitshow at lloyds with app development, been loads of internal issues.

So will all branches be branded as Lloyds?

@Boring when will we be unable to apply for new Halifax accounts do you know?

No, just straight up closures

I dont think halifax applications be impacted, not yet anyway

It is for the best. No one even knows what it is anymore!

IIRC the timeline was sometime in the summer there will be no more new applications, and then slowly everyone will be moved to Lloyds Bank.

However this wasn’t confirmed by Lloyds Banking Group

Yeah this is why I’m skeptical. All we got was an article from The Sun about it. I do believe Halifax is slowly dying, but I find it hard to believe they’re cutting applications on 1st July as The Sun suggested.

You can apply for one now if you want to.

I’ve already got Halifax Classic and Halifax Everyday Saver so I’m all sorted cards wise.

CBA to upgrade to Reward/Ultimate to get those cards ahead of brand shutdown. And there’s no other savings cards available unfortunately.

Just got an email about my Halifax card changing from Mastercard to Visa, so wouldn’t expect them to be bothering with that if they were going to migrate them to Lloyds card any time soon.

It took more than 60 days for my Lloyds Platinum to change from Mastercard to Visa

Are they going to turn all Halifax credit cards into Lloyds? I noticed when they changed to Visa, my 0% purchase card now has Platinum on it. :eyes:

They’re offering me 5.9% money transfer again. :joy: Does this mean it’s a 5.9% loan rather than a 5.9% on top of my card’s interest rate?

It’ll be 5.9% for the money transfer balance.

Yes, only on the transferred balance.
If you want to take it now don’t make any more purchases on the card as they will be charged interest that you will see on next statement.
I was once a victim of that and they charged me ÂŁ93 in interest that I contested and got it refunded.

However that nonsense is stopping when new terms come in on 26 June where no interest will be charged as long as you had made full statement balance the previous month.

Didn’t they give you any 0% APR with a fee?
