🐎 Lloyds Banking Group Chat

I had the same thing happen with NatWest. The debit card arrived in the post, quickly followed by a letter telling me to destroy the card because all my accounts had been closed and any future accounts I opened would also be closed.

That’s…surprising (and wasteful) to say the least hearing other banks are also doing this. It creates an unnecessary fraud risk for both the bank and the customer.

These UK banks really shouldn’t be issuing any cards at all until an account is approved..

*It also makes me wonder if all 3 of these banks are using the same card manufacturer…(I only know Monzo’s)

Metro used to print there own cards you could go into a branch and walk away with a card

They also set you up for mobile banking right there.

For my last purchase it was SMS only, that was debit. Not sure about credit.

I upgraded my Under 19s account to a Classic account last night. But they’ve said that I’m not getting a new card. I thought I should, as I should get the green with “Classic” text in the corner, as opposed to my current card which doesn’t have any text on it?

If you’ve a classic account, do you have text on the front?

Also, will there be any issues with me changing my Halifax and Bank of Scotland accounts today? I just know Lloyds gets a bit twitchy with lots of messing with accounts!

And I got Scottish Widows. Instant approval and set up, just a soft check on TransUnion.

No

Probably because no change in underlying card benefits. If you want a new one report that lost or damaged.

I’m not sure it says classic on the standard card?

Mine doesn’t say Classic on it. All it says is Lloyds, and Visa Debit.

Mine was on credit. When I clicked the other ways to verify, it only gave phone calls and no app pop ups.

They are discontinuing Smart ID. They were even using Yoti all the time in the background even their email links were for Yoti

On that line, here’s a bet same thing will happen to Curve (/Lpay) in 1-2 years from now

I have been having many of those today. Same as my credit card transactions. They show for previous statement months but not current ones

It’s been off the App Store for about a week I think, tried looking for it the other day. On the Lloyds website page for it, there’s no mention of it going however.

Not surprised. They can use Yoti directly.

Post Office EasyID is also a thing. That’s what I use.

Shame the insurances aren’t included in Premier as for £5 a month they’d be great.

Is it just me?
