No worries. This is what threw me off initially, as I took that at face value and wanted to clarify Premier absolutely costs money, regardless of your annual income - Lloyds wants a certain amount of assets held, or monthly deposits.
Ie not cycling £5,000, getting the £10 cashback, being charged £15, thus resulting in only £5 being charged for the month.
Perhaps to be clear I meant in theory anyone could reach it as it’s cumulative over a month not in one go.
If you absolutely wanted to you could transfer in an out £1 5,000 times and get the benefits for free.
Not that you would but in theory it can be free for anyone. A packaged account cannot.
It’s Lloyds. Could you imagine the time you’d be on the phone to get your account unblocked if you did that ![]()
Oh I’d be silly not to. It’s easy.
Heck my Monzo overdraft could just be transferred in, right back and I’d never pay the fee even with no income.
It’s weird because when we discuss £1,500 for Chase it’s not vaguely controversial to cycle money but when it’s £5,000 it is?
Chase can take my wage and easily hit that.
For me to hit £5k I’d need to cycle a bit over x2.
If the app was a bit more up to scratch I’d make it worth my time but in its current state it doesn’t thrill me.
You were really pro Lloyds not long ago.
u ok hun? ![]()
I get annoyed with the notifications being all over the place, even the direct debits. Not interested in being told 3pm my bills were paid 9 hours ago ![]()
I wish someone here could have a look at my Lloyds statements.
They scare me too sometimes when I see the Amounts in and out, all done passively though my salary was going there too.
@Boring is there any plan for Lloyds to bring a feature where we could copy the sort code and account number from the app?
Just got an email from Halifax about the swanky Discover Your Neighbourhood tool by Planna for prospective home buyers.

And Lloyds Bank:
Pretty nice really. Good to give a general overview of an area all in one place like that
Seen a sign about switching banks too recently, about them being top or something.
Love the sass
My local branch of Nationwide did this when Barclays closed their branch across the road
It’s a chicken shop, now.
Is Lloyd Private actually worth signing up for?
Currently have money between HSBC Premier and RBS Premier, so weighing up options for the New Year.
I have lloyds Premier and Private Banking - Lloyds Premier is good, I think HSBC slightly beats the benefits compared to lloyds (I did have HSBC Premier before I moved to Lloyds Private Banking). Iif you have the funds, Private is good for service - I have a private banker - dedicated email address and telephone, really helpful and reactive to everything I have asked (which isn’t much). You can have both Lloyds Premier and Club lloyds Private accounts meaning you get two lots of benefits for no costs (so Disney + and Cinema tickets) as well as the Premier benefits.
Lloyds investigates use of staff bank data during pay talks
It might as well pat itself on the back for smart use of data. ![]()
Hopefully this will be a springboard to get rid of abusive contract terms requiring employees to bank with the bank they work for.
