Quite likely as it worked with Chase.
I noticed in the Krak App that it when the Cashback offer runs out in Feb, you still get Cashback but the rate depends on the amount you hold in your Krak Account.
£1K for 0.5%
£10K for 0.75%
£50K for 1%
Part of me would be tempted to use this account as my spending account and get the 0.75% cashback as we know that its unlimited cashback so it could work out to be a good deal.
Plus the account has no fees
They mention on their blog that salary deposits are coming “soon.” That said, I seriously doubt a platform like Krak/Kraken will ever have FSCS protection since it’s a crypto exchange, more likely, it’ll operate like any other e‑money institution, I’d imagine.
Say goodbye to your bank: make Krak your everything account - Kraken Blog Kraken Blog.
I would never pay my salary into a account with no FSCS Protection but I would use the account as a spending account for the cashback
You’d not get your salary paid in but you’d hold 10k in it, even though it’s not FSCS?
There’s basically no difference in your logic here.
There sure is unless you’re paid more than £10000 a month.
Worth remembering that the safeguarding is AFTER expenses. There was a place noted on this forum a couple of years back that went bust and the customers only got about 50% of their money back.
I wish
It still doesn’t make sense losing £5k, they’d make more than 1% cash back in a saver over the year, so whoever is advising them is so wrong.
I’m of the view that I would just never put thousands into anything without FSCS protection. Sooner or later, somethings gonna go wrong.
In theory you could beat 4% cashback over the year but on £10000 you’d need to be spending £40000 over the year i.e. constantly keep the account topped up to the £10000 as you spend. Who’s going to do that though?
Exactly
£1.21 cashback so far. I am liking this card
I’m not far off the same.
The rewards thing shows now after the 24 hour wait.
Any referral promotion for this card ?
Nope.
Sadly not.
Just paid my energy so hopefully that gives cash back, gonna pay my council tax too ![]()
Do they run any kind of credit check? I wouldn’t mind a Mastercard WE for the car hire benefits.
Nope.
the screenshots in this thread look very similar to the revolut app.
