Until the feature is launched, you could create a pot called ‘Overdraft’ and place a reasonable amount of money in there (up-front, or as a scheduled monthly transfer to build up a nice buffer)
Then if you do hit an awkward time, you can quickly move an amount from the ‘Overdraft’ pot into the main Joint account to rescue the situation
