Free trade support fractional shares in an ISA

Not according to their website, they do allow it for general investment accounts and SIPPs but not ISAs

Was thinking of buying their shares. Glad I didn’t now. :joy:

Freetrade is another decent alternative (haven’t been using it long though)

What’s so bad about it?

I was about to ask the same, they’ve fixed the recent design issues. I personally think it looks quite good.

Tbf the redesign is less straightforward compared to what is was when I joined last year. I used to be able to see everything I need on each account’s home page, now I have to do 2, 3 extra taps to where things were before.

I recently learnt since I have donkey’s years until retirement I am better off investing in a SIPP. Short-term stocks trading is practically gambling.

If you’re investing strictly for retirement then a SIPP could be better. However it does mean your money is locked away.

There are rules concerning withdrawing money from pensions that you need to understand as they have implications if you want to top up once you start withdrawing.

I have both a SIPP and ISA, and I move shares/money from my ISA into the SIPP.

InvestEngine are worth a look for a SIPP

I operate my SIPP in the same way as I do my pies on T212. In fact, one of my T212 pies is a replica of my SIPP.

I’ve been with AJ Bell for over 25 years now. They’re a very complete SIPP offering both on investing and also when you’re withdrawing.
