Strange how it gets referred to as “London based HSBC” and that the card will be available in the APAC market first.
In the breakup of East snd West wasn’t wealth banking its own part?

I guess we may not know how this card looks for a little while. I like the name though
Yes peasant, I have a HSBC Privé
card
Is HSBC Jade fully gone now? It was rebranded as Premier Elite in a few markets but not sure if the Jade branding is still used. Wonder why they got rid of it.
I think it is. It’s either premier or private now, at least in the UK. I think that’s true elsewhere. A slight shame, Jade has a nice ring to it.
Jade has gone, mostly moved over to Premier, but they do retain some additional perks over the normal Premier offering.
It’s basically Premier Elite, in all but name.
This is for the UK, unsure what the status of Jade is in other markets.
The thing is I can imagine the UK/Guernsey market eventually introduce these cards in a few month but HSBC Private Banking still won’t bother to support Apple Pay …
They need to get their priority straight and not just do expensive and near pointless restructuring every 5 years. Interesting with the split of private bank from UK domestic division, they might need to unmerge the UK private bank from HSBC UK Bank plc when IBANs/swift code only switched over last year.
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, however I’ve only just noticed this myself as of late.
HSBC have recently increased their payment limits for Premier clients.
Premier has increased from £50K to £100K
Private is £250K or tailored to individual client needs
I’m not sure about normal HSBC accounts but I presume they’re around the £20K threshold.
Nice to see HSBC are restructuring their premium accounts to align with customer requirements.
Discovered by going into my local branch to make x value payment and was told I can do this now via mobile/online banking.
So they have… just checked the app.
I’m sure it was £25k before and not £50k though.
It’s certainly not a transfer limit I’ll ever likely reach, but nice to know it’s possible I suppose.
Yes - I had to move £30k through my Premier account a couple of months ago and had to do £25k then £5k the next day.
Does anyone have the HSBC World Elite credit card?
Trying to determine if it is a good product now it has the added benefits.
Has anyone fully utilised them yet?
I have the WE CC and I’m not too bothered about the increase in fee. You will need to work out if the benefits make it worthwhile for you.
The new WE card design is nice enough but also a little boring (if you care about that sort of thing). I posted some photos in the card design thread a while back…
I had a look and decided not to get it, the benefits were underwhelming for the cost.
But it’s worth having a look at the HfP review on it.
I’ve toyed with this a good few times but never pulled the trigger. For me at around 3 trips abroad a year it’s not worth the cost. But it’s a decent offering for the price if you are, as they say, the “dedicated traveller”
I was pleased to read this as I’ve been calling for it for a while.
It’s the main reason I don’t use my HSBC Premier account that much and instead use another institution as my nominated account for transfers to/from other accounts.
Sadly, my HSBC app still shows the £25k limit though (unless it is being gradually rolled out)
Will have to check with my family if their payment limits have changed when I get a chance as they also hold Premier accounts.
Sent a £1.00 payment to my offshore account in advance of the budget. Went ok. Now to send the remaining £99,999….*
Obviously that’s a joke, I only ever spend in multiples of £1000
It seems now that HSBC offers the highest payment limits for banks with a premier offering.
NatWest Group is at £50K limit I think. My Coutts is still at £1M limit.
Lloyd’s Premier was £100K, can anyone clarify?
Lloyd’s Private is £250k
Santander not too sure. Anyone able to clarify?
These are all from memory, so are unsure if these still apply.
Oh really, I wouldn’t know as I don’t use them but it’s useful if they do.
Side note- I wish more banks with premium offerings would offer free CHAPs as a benefit.
Similar to Barclays, although I’m not a fan of them and their offering, so I am happy to lose out and pay for the time being for the service.
I always hope that, one day, I will
May I ask, who is the other institution out of curiosity?
Santander - they have a daily faster payment limit of £100k as standard
