There seems to have been some underlying work possibly been done over the xmas period laying some foundations for a Dark Mode down the line which has been mentioned.
To be fair they didn’t say it would be released the following week. Could just have been added to the road map for this year… Which I believe it has

Yeah but pretty lame to be all “ohhhh 
” if it isn’t gonna be released for months/a year. Especially the number of times we’ve been burned with half-released, never-released features after months of tease.

Might just be me but based off them tweets im going to suggest that it is about to launch next week in the first 2020 update,

Here’s what it currently looks like on Android, with ‘Override force-dark’ enabled in the Pixel Developer options;
It’s really not far off. I’d say a tweak to the horizontal day headers is all that is needed (they’re too bright and need to be darkened)

Come on Monzo, we NEED this, it’s crucial to our use of our banking app that we can change the colour of the screen, nothing else is as important, drop everything and get this sorted ASAP, it’s crucial.

Yes it’s cosmetic, but the rest of the app is beautiful - shame to not have this.

Make sure you vote for this feature at the top of the thread, and fingers crossed it might happen 
Dark Mode is now the top voted feedback item in the list of ‘wishes’ (once pots sorting/hiding is released for iOS)

I find it amazing that an aesthetic change is more popular than all the value-add feature ideas. Not poo pooing people’s desire for it just surprising to me.

I do prefer dark mode and have it enabled on my phone but I don’t understand why this is such a popular feature request either. I’d much prefer the focus was on functional change than a change to the colour scheme.
