Collected Thoughts on Card Design (Part 2)

Coutts often give free gifts too.

I’ve recently head an umbrella, card wallet, gold plated keyring and my new 2025 diary!!

I guess that’s what the annual fee gets you

Yes basically

My vehicle of choice is a Bentley Mulsanne with the Mulliner specification.

Navy blue outside with navy blue and cream interior with dark piano black gloss detailing on the dashboard etc.

I’d have liked the yellow one but you had to refer people didn’t you? :smiling_face_with_tear::blush:

Oh no. Missed that :smiling_face_with_tear:

I presume that’s before tax, so it would take you more than 26 weekends to save the money.

He won’t pay any tax on £96 a week

Nothing if your income is less than £12500/year.

Council tax doesn’t come out of your salary. Other deductions would include National Insurance, pension contributions and, possibly, union subscription.

Do the Coventry alright, but do a pension through work too as your employer may give you free money if you’re in their pension scheme (depends on your age, income and employer).

Nice people can do stupid stuff, so a union is a nice insurance policy to allow for that. Also, you’ll get discounts on loads of stuff via the union.

Everyone pays income tax on earnings over the tax free threshold, most pay national insurance.

I use the same white card for my Apple wallet

If all you’re earning is £96 a week you won’t pay any NI.

You can input your earnings here to see what you’ll pay.

Wise Eco Card still wins those stakes.

True yeah 4 accounts. (Spend & Save, Spend & Save Plus, Student Account & Cash Account)

Also I know it’s a Visa which is why I will get a TSB Credit Card to get at least 1 TSB Mastercard in my collection.

A couple of new horses:

I quite like the cashpoint one. I can’t say I like the physical Private one much more than the gwallet version. The Lloyds has a bit of a silver sparkle, but black on black doesn’t do much for me. In fact there’s a sparkle on the black background, but it’s extremely faint - visible in direct torchlight from my phone, but not really in normal lighting. If the sparkle were more visible it might be quite cool. But as it is, I preferred the previous private design. Both have the same “box” visible around the braille dots as mentioned upthread.

I don’t really see a difference tbh. I know back end and perks can differ but for me on a day to day use, both are fine.

Really don’t think there’s much difference, but my two MasterCards have no fees abroad, so I’ll go for that (although I do pay £3 for that with Santander Edge…)

I’ve always preferred the Visa logo compared to Mastercard as it tends to blend into designs better.
