Chase UK Chat (Part 2)

Yeah that caught me out before as well, very limiting.

Although if you don’t have many transactions the main view will show older than 12 months - I can see back to May 2025 on mine

Just download your statements monthly. Takes minutes to do.

Downloading statements to try and find a transaction in this day and age is pretty poor when virtually every other bank lets you search back beyond a year.

See I wanted something from 2023, that was charged several months after I had travelled.
I would now have to comb through 2023-2024 statements.
A simple merchant name search would do that in few seconds.

I’ve been seeing recently on Reddit some people with Chase US cards getting like $80K limits. To me thats just insane!

I saw another post of something like a Apple Card with a $90K limit.

@Chrispykreme was teased with a £30k limit by Lloyds

My Amex has a 50k limit. Not that I’d go anywhere near that, crazy that they offered it to me without much effort.

Wouldn’t say I was crazy high earner either

My Amex is the Platinum Charge Card so the limit varies, not by much though.

I have always known a rough figure which it has never fallen below.

I ended up with 30k but split between a Santander Edge & Santander World Elite cards

One for the bin when the 12 months introductory period is over.

You keep the current account open you may come back for another offer

just had notification in an email that credit card spends also go toward your qualification so the 15 transactions I didn’t realise that.

thats a bit better! only things left to do are expand categories or remove the arbitrary limits on location

Previous emails also mentioned credit card spend is eligible.

Good to know. Without the savings requirement, I’d probably use Chase more - but that requirement puts me off for now

Never happening. I wish they would, but it’ll never happen.

Fair enough, I missed that in other emails.

also seems like a missed opportunity to introduce virtual cards

Chase has just offered me £50 Amazon gift card if I subscribe to Chase protect and keep it until November. I guess the uptake was less than they hoped
