Chase UK Chat (Part 1)

There’s something about the Chase card that just makes it look so nice. The colour contrast against the logo with the minimalistic look just goes together

I think the lack of competing logo also helps

Seems like most chase US cards are on Visa, so it’s a bit interesting that they went MasterCard.

MasterCard’s sales team must be killing it recently, is there some clear advantage of using MasterCard over Visa from the bank’s perspective?

I have wonder this, a few of my banks, including big ones like santander have switched

Oh dear! Has it been in an ATM to make it look like that?

Same here no mad hurry though and I’m sure it’ll come through soon

I don’t use a wallet, I only made two card transactions and used a cash point once

I’ve no idea why it’s so battered.

Who makes the card does it say on the card. Is it tag systems. That’s quite poor quality for two uses

It could be because it’s recycled

I have had that before when there as been some residue on the ATM or Card reader if used with PIN Pad…

I’ve no idea where to find out.

I’m not too fussed about it, if I had a wallet I could probably moan more but it just sits freely in my pocket, possible clashed with my lighter but other cards never seem to get as much abuse.

Compared it with my other cards and quality seems pretty similar. It is a standard plastic card, doesn’t seem any better or worse than any of my other credit or debit cards.

Sandpaper?

Surely this is the real answer to the level of scuffing.

I’ve not used a wallet for year and no other card has took a battering that quick :joy:

I do hold myself accountable though, as someone mentioned, being so dark probably doesn’t help. No pattern or other colours to deter from the scuffs either.

Not too fussed as it’s only a card, just surprised how easy it was considering only received it Saturday.

As you say who cares, as long as it still works, and I know from experience cards can take quite a battering before they stop actually functioning

Just received the code this afternoon

Same here! But I’m putting that down to the fact that we haven’t had any post rather than Chase being at fault.

Signed up on Wednesday afternoon, so I would have expected to receive the card on Friday, but the postie didn’t visit then. Or Saturday. Or today.
