I checked my settings, the app says it’s on; even so online transactions don’t usually say much as it goes through the app and the actual McDonald’s you’re standing in doesn’t get relayed.
Hopefully they don’t start freezing my account when my partner transfers her half of bills in like monzo do
OK, OK, as annoyances go you win this round. ![]()

Wonder when or if we might see joint account.
I don’t really touch personal accounts but am liking the look of chase tbh!
What time did you folks who have already got access pop your names on the waiting list? I stuck mine on 9:30am Tuesday and I’m yet to hear anything! Got my eyes on this thread like a hawk so I’m starting to get jealous!
11:34pm on Tuesday, got my invite 1:50pm yesterday.
Hopefully get yours tomorrow
re join with same email maybe? I applied at launch and watched everyone get on. I did it again this morning and got code within 6 hours.
I wonder if it made a difference whether you joined the waiting list from the website or the app? I joined from the app on Tuesday afternoon and received an SMS a few minutes later confirming that “rewarding banking was on its way”. Also received an email confirming I was on the list.
Still waiting for code, though.
I joined Tuesday morning from the website and still nothing, so I don’t think so. I’ve just rejoined the waiting list using a different email so I now have two entries, which might be helpful considering there seems to be a somewhat random element to the distribution of codes.
It’s almost like names are pulled out of a hat! Just re-applied through the app, will keep you all posted and remain jealous in the meantime!
Well they are certainly not rushing to add folk!
I signed up via the website at midday on Tuesday and have not heard anything except the instant “on the list” email
Why? I can understand why you might do this if it had been a couple of weeks but they’re still working through the initial sign-ups. Even then I’d be contacting them rather than just giving them more applications to work through.
Had a slight issue with adding my Chase card to Apple Pay on a new iPhone today - was no “Add to Apple Pay” option but it just required a restart of the phone to work.
Just in case anyone else has issues.
It’s annoying that it doesn’t remember reference numbers when paying someone. Hopefully will get fixed soon.
I agree.
It would be nice if you could set a “default reference” as Monzo does it!
It’s funny because one thing that I hated about other banks was the reference being remembered!
But I can see both uses.
It’s a nightmare paying into savings accounts that use a holding account and reference if the reference isn’t saved!
But I do agree with you, it’s nice to have it either way - so that’s why a default of remembering the reference, or having a default reference, plus the ability to change it, is good.
Signed up on Tuesday morning, still no code. Just had an email, was all ready to go, then realised it was just a marketing email for an account I’m still on the waiting list for
Just had the same email
