Does anyone know of a savings account that lets you “siphen” off money kinda like Monzo pots/chase accounts even virtually so it’s one big account that on the app has separate areas for money.
Saving up for various things and like having this here for this and this for that but cannot find a savings account that offers this like chase but with the rate dropping I no longer want to hold my savings in there. Thanks!
Zopa allows this I think. Never used it myself.
Tandem lets you do this but I’ve never used it in that way.
I’ve used Tandem recently with a few pots. Easy to use. Interest still paid in to the primary pot.
Zopa is the one to go for as they let you do It with the ISA too and Tandem doesn’t have an ISA yet.

I can confirm the above. The interest offered is 4.15% after the latest base rate adjustment. (4.40% until 20 2)
The app is pretty basic, and transaction processing is not as quick and reactive as Chase - minutes rather than seconds - but good enough.
Does not allow transactions to be scheduled - they are done in real time.
(Referring to Tandem - the Zopa comment was not there when I posted)
Have found another minor gremlin in Chase’ system - switched a current account out, 2 family members tried to send a payment to my old Chase sort code and account number (as they already had it setup and it should just forward to my new external account) using their own Chase account, both payments didn’t go through and both received a text message along the lines of ‘Sorry we cannot make the payment, there was an error’.
Unless it’s just my account, you cannot send Chase to Chase bank transfers if the latter has been switched out, it doesn’t forward the payment.
May be a quirk of the multiple account setup, but I’d have thought CASS should still take care of that.

Ah yes. One of my friends had old bank details for a Chase account I had switched out a while back, same thing happened to me too. That was 6+ month ago so it seems to have been an issue for a while then.
I’ll raise it with Chase. I’d imagine they’ll fix the issue considering forwarding payments is part of the CASS guarantee.

Yep, Zopa handles this very well. Can be a mix of easy access/fixed term/ISA pots within the same overall account. Plus regular saver pot if you have the current account.

I just received this email today! Haven’t received any other email yet and I cannot see any option in the app to apply for the chase credit card.
Would be interested to know if anyone has received a similar email and how long did it take to receive the email with the link to apply?

I notice it only says that you may receive an invitation, not that you definitely will receive one. Maybe you won’t?
Yeah true! From looking at this chat from the first batch release in November 2024 some didn’t receive an email but rather a tile within the app that prompted them to check eligibility and then apply. So I will be checking the app in the coming days…
