Chase UK Chat (Part 1)

And now I can’t find the savings account in the app.
Am I doing something wrong?

I added new account to my chase and then had option for the savings.

Should be in your accounts list.

Unless you mean to create, tap Add+ in top right as shown in mine.

Just not there

Have you updated your app?

Yep, yesterday

Maybe still in process of rolling out.

The one thing to note with Chase that I want expecting is that you can only withdraw up to £25k a day.

I was actually replying to someone else’s comment about how long notifications are taking, probably due to the amount of money being transferred over to Chase. I wasn’t even being negative, just observational, if that’s ok with you?

Try not to fall off that high horse “my dear boy”.

This is common if not less with other banks, and only by transfers. Not cash.

Cash withdrawal is £500 a day, £15.5k a month based on a 31 day month.

Moved all my easy access money from Marcus and Atom into Chase now. It wasn’t as instant as Atom but quicker than Marcus. Arrived about a minute later.

I did read something about it being for existing customers at moment?
Are you new to chase?

Not sure how much of this thread you’ve read but I’ve participated in it since the beginning as one of Chase UK’s first customers. Very much an advocate of the account, 1% cashback, 5% round ups and promise of an integration with Nutmeg by JP Morgan. There’s one thing being an advocate but another being a fanboy. I’m product/service agnostic generally and try to check my biases. My comment remains, I would expect Chase U.K. to have handled the throughput caused by this release yesterday morning which would have been in the low tens of thousands per hour realistically on the high side. It’s not like Chase are an amateur upstart, they have experience with Chase USA and are backed by the world biggest bank. Constructive criticism is fine, relax. I like the product (audit my posts if you desire) and Chase U.K. keeps getting better. I’m pretty sure they value the feedback not find it disconcerting.

Mix of increased inbound and lack of frontline members.

Attrition is always going to be an issue while targets are in place, personally don’t agree with some of them but here we are.

It’s tricky to find a balance of measuring performance that’s comfortable for colleague and management.

I’d go quality over quantity every single time.

So this has swayed me and I will be opening a chase account (goodbye Marcus!)

Question though, can I choose when to activate the 1% cashback? Got no need to activate it at the moment, but end of the year I will be doing several big purchases and can maximise it then?

I am going to be honest, I don’t think anyone here would describe Monzo’s customer service as quality, being passed from pillar to post and the 1st line seem to be able to do very little which is a shame and having to repeat queries to different Coops.

Yeah you can. And when you activate it the year starts.

This was a misunderstanding, apparently. Anybody can open a Chase current account and then add the new savings account.

Sadly can’t teach front line everything and colleagues skilled in other areas are better suited, they’re majority of the time first port of call that can handle most queries just not all.

Chase will no doubt come to the same reality, though their app is streamlined and “basic” (used lightly) in having everything built in a simplistic way.

Can’t imagine they get inundated with messages on how to manage their sub accounts, vs how to add/withdraw/pay from pots, as the accounts come with their own account number and sort code for ease of management.

I guess it’s luck of the bunch, and dependant on what you’re asking vs the colleagues interpretation of what you’ve said.
