I added the Monzo Community to my Android 8.1 homescreen and I got a big and bold icon appear.
Any chance the normal Monzo app icon could look more like this? I find it less cluttered, more recognisable and better reflects the quality of the app, instead of hiding away in the little circle.

Android supports adaptive icons, but unless you’re using a third party launcher like Nova, the shape is set by the device, or OEM. So on the Pixels (I have the 2XL) the default is the circular icons.
With third party launchers you can also change icons to whatever you want.
