I like their idea for first responders and small delivery options (on their website).

Tesla Model 3 would be my ideal choice to start with to be fair - middle of the road price wise (might be less by the time I can get one lol) - style, charging options, safety rating and brand is what suits me most to be fair (plus car features in general)

Good news is that my Kona is now selling for more than I paid for it in February of this year

If only !
Jaguar iPace owners would be delighted to get 65K for their cars.
Truth is that the car is not one to keep its value.

Webuyanycar will offer circa £46 if you are an owner.

The table is new prices. Sorry I didn’t make that clear I was switching from talking about AutoTrader to what they are new. A few in the table you can’t get new yet let alone secondhand.

Yeah I had put the same :+1:

Lack of manual transmission, high cost of car, very limited used market and I like the sound of a petrol engine. (Revving my 3 cylinder hard is one of my favourte plesures in driving)

Enjoy it whilst you can.
Fact is fossil fuel cars are on their way out.
Of course you will be able to experience your ICE rush in the future in the same way that others enjoy driving a carriage and four

E100 Fuel is always a thing for fans of the ICE after the oil runs out, either that or running a deisel on pure vegtable oil.

Yes, you are quite right but the activity will still be on a par with a carriage and four

Yup. Another 50 years should about do it.

Get your hands on a V8 then :+1:t2:

Last of the V8 Interceptors…

I just looked at zapmap and there is 1 public rapid charger within 10 miles of me and only 20 public electric chargers within my entire county! Seems like there needs to be a huge infrastructure shift before EVs can be adopted by most people

Which county do you live in. ?

Zapmap for my local area.

Around that red arrow is almost entirely tenement or highrise flats. Can you see the issue now?

On the other hand users of EVs would be pleased to see this on the Zap-Map for Glasgow. Many of those chargers are free to use as well.

Still looks like few in my area but you zoomed out so yeah it does look a lot better.

So, great in cities, but a couple of miles out, what, we are just out of luck? Fossil fuel powered cars die and … I cycle everywhere?

Infrastructure is the issue here. Not the cars, not the technology, they are all good ā€˜enough’ as it is.

But until I have a reliable source that isn’t a 15 min walk away, what is the appeal to those who aren’t willing to put up with that type of ā€˜inconvenience’.

I get you are passionate about this, but you aren’t convincing me that THE COUNTRY is ready for electric cars (personally, I am, but infrastructure is a blocker).

Agree 100pc. Where I live (in the sticks) EV’s just are not an option until the infrastructure catches up.

Then, yeah up for trying it
