I thought about this but then discovered that there’s a clause in the warranty which means they don’t have to get a replacement, although apparently that is slightly in contravention of the Consumer Rights Act so they do tend to ship one over as a replacement if needed from the US!
Just worth keeping in mind as they can’t replace a US model with a UK model if anything goes wrong!
