It’s stressful moving fish. I’ve done it a few times and hearing the water slosh about, even in the proper fish transport tanks

Fighters? Well… I had a lovely fan tailed blue and red fighter - he was a very good fighter (in terms of behaviour) but the Rummy Nose Tetras had a thing for his tail… he was understandably getting a bit stressed so I had to separate them. He lived for a number of years with some neons but that was all I could do with that tank.
Unless there’s 100% guarantee of compatibility I don’t bother anymore!
