This doesn’t make a difference. You only get the equivalent of 1.5% in Marcus if you keep the interest in the account and it compounds.

Oh I know (and to be honest, 1.5 or 1.55 makes little difference regardless).

It was more for those who like to see the interest payments monthly.

I think I need some more savings before I worry about the interest rate too much :joy:

I’ve been offered a savings pot. :tada:

But I’m going to pass. :disappointed:

I’d have been all over this if it were truly easy access (immediate transfers in /out, no £1000 threshold) but this Invest account doesn’t really meet those needs. I’m not even particularly sensitive in terms of interest rate - 0.5pc APR would work for me!

Likewise I’m thinking of passing only because my current savings are earning a better rate with less entry and requirement restrictions, so why bother switching it. I don’t feel the need to move them just to provide extra visibility in the Monzo app yet.

When there’s more options like fixed savers and proper easy access I’ll revisit.
