It’s really annoying that having set up direct debits for certain bills, I can’t pay it from the pot I use for bills. Makes it harder to put this money aside each month.
Can’t you allow cards payments from pots, and just default it from the main account if there’s not sufficient funds in the pot?

Have a search of the forum, and add your vote to the appropriate thread. There’s no guarantee that Monzo will pay any attention, but it’s basically all you can do to influence them.
