Managed to get my 2nd UK Mainland Credit Card.
JaJa Vantage Visa.
Offered me a Ā£1,800 limit with a 34.9% APR. Rather high but I pay in full each month so Iām happy!
Glad that my credit is slowly building a mainland profile.
Iāve had exactly the same thing (and have an email proof that I closed the account). Iāve raised a complaint with Transunion.
Yes, I then got an email from Transunion acknowledging it
Looks like someone has messed up somewhere!
Says updated in March on mine, so Iād guess the issue is with Zopa still reporting it to the CRA rather than with the CRA.
Very odd.
Last time I had something similar it was to do with Vanquis.
My referral link was still active and some how managed to bag £150 in referrals and they re-opened the account with a negative balance.
They never contacted me at all, I had to reach out and they told me the reason. They were quick to send the money to an account in my name and closed it again.
Iāve emailed Zopa asking them to update it as closed.
I donāt think it ever actually closes hence you cannot return.
I have that too. They just donāt want you to leave. I wonder what will happen if I try to open a new account after Iāve moved to Australia?
I replied to the āYour Zopa account is closedā email and CC complaints(at)zopa.com.
Oops, I didnāt spot that. Hopefully the complaints email address picks it up.
Iām not overly fussed - sure itāll get sorted at some point.
A dispute at Transunion also gives them a nudge.
I havenāt even had an acknowledgment email yet ![]()
Just had a reply - fixed and £50. ![]()
Not yet - only emailed them my details an hour ago.
To provide an update on the Experian situation. A few days ago I tried to contact them via their online form to see if they could do anything about the 90 day lockout. Upon entering my DOB, the form said āYou need to be over 18ā
. The complaints form said the same thing, so I went and moaned to their X support team, and they gave me an email to send my complaint to.
Well today, after some back and forth on the phone with Experian complaints, I can now access my Experian app. In the end they deleted my old profile and asked me to create a new one whilst on the phone with them. Which proves that the 90 day lockout is bs if they can just delete the profile and start over
. So a good resolution to the complaint. Theyāre not upholding it though because āwe donāt know why we couldnāt verify you in the first placeā. But I am in.
Not sure if this has been posted here yet.
- The 51% ārepresentativeā APR threshold should be increased to a 66% ātypicalā APR threshold. The FCA has specifically cited our 2022 report as a reason for considering this option.
The FCA is asking for views on this matter and the consultation will run until 17 June 2026. After this point the FCA will collate its feedback and publish its next steps.

They should also make it mandatory for all lenders to have an eligibility checker first before one makes the actual application.
Itās a move in the right direction (a very socialist approach), but it would also mean those who are more financially disciplined will see less favourable interest rates as banks can profit less from (the current somewhat) irresponsible lending, I reckon.
