It is because they are made up. If those numbers really made sense, I wouldn’t be having access to credit like what I have. All reports have me down as poor/fair all the time but I don’t care.
Managed to get my 2nd UK Mainland Credit Card.
JaJa Vantage Visa.
Offered me a £1,800 limit with a 34.9% APR. Rather high but I pay in full each month so I’m happy!
Glad that my credit is slowly building a mainland profile.
This has just popped up on my Monzo/TransUnion account.
Date says Feb 2025 which is when I opened it but I closed it May 2025. Funnily enough I got an email in Feb this year saying “1 year since you opened your bank account”
I just double checked and I do have an email saying your account is closed and it doesn’t show on any other credit agencies
I’ve had exactly the same thing (and have an email proof that I closed the account). I’ve raised a complaint with Transunion.
Did you do it using the Monzo app? I noticed there is a dispute button
Yes, I then got an email from Transunion acknowledging it
Looks like someone has messed up somewhere!
Yeah it’s annoying, weird how it’s only showing on TransUnion as well. I did wonder if it would drop off again next update, maybe I should dispute it like you have
I suspect it’s happened to a fair amount of people then!
Says updated in March on mine, so I’d guess the issue is with Zopa still reporting it to the CRA rather than with the CRA.
Very odd.
Last time I had something similar it was to do with Vanquis.
My referral link was still active and some how managed to bag £150 in referrals and they re-opened the account with a negative balance.
They never contacted me at all, I had to reach out and they told me the reason. They were quick to send the money to an account in my name and closed it again.
Did you dispute it as well?
I’ve emailed Zopa asking them to update it as closed.
Let me know how you get on, not sure which way would resolve it quickest
I don’t think it ever actually closes hence you cannot return.
Well there is no trace of it in my Zopa app, and if they emailed to say it’s closed it shouldn’t be showing as an active current account on my credit file
Also it says this at the bottom of the email, so where do you see it says they don’t close accounts and don’t let you back?
I have that too. They just don’t want you to leave. I wonder what will happen if I try to open a new account after I’ve moved to Australia?
