Yonder Card Chat

I’ll take a look

I got an email too. They are quite clear they are being stricter at the moment. Which is interesting since I assumed the key point is that you can link to open banking if you don’t have a credit history.

Yeah - I got the invite, linked it to my Monzo account, and got declined :frowning:

Oh well, I was really only doing it for the fancy card - I don’t actually need a new credit card at the moment. I may have considered a balance transfer from another card if it had worked out cheaper (although I’m not sure it would’ve done based on their APR?)

I didn’t even get asked to link a bank. The first step was doing a credit check so I didn’t really want to go down that road at the moment.

I also got an invite today. The £15 a month membership has put me off though. I clearly missed that bit when I registered.

Is it possible to give us an idea of what the rewards are and how many points they cost?

Appears they waive the fee for the first 6 months, though not sure if there is a minimum commitment.

Also, having more info on the places with offers would be useful. Like others, I haven’t heard of any that are mentioned above.

I don’t think it’s mentioned on their site. Very misleading if you ask me…

Right on their homepage.

Fair enough. Still didn’t see it until I searched the page for that phrase.

Very far down the page, though. They should possibly give something that central more prominence …

I’ll admit I scrolled right to the bottom of the site to sign up. Totally my fault. :sweat_smile:

I went through the application process (it was really quick and simple), linked my Monzo account, and was approved for a modest amount, although far less than my Amex.

Dunno though… £15 a month :thinking:

What are the APRs being offered with the fee removed from the representative?

I got accepted with £5k+ credit. London based and has given me starter points of 2500. Nowhere in the agreement does it mention the 6 months waived for founding members.

7 offers for March:

Lina Stores = 2000pts = £60
Sofar = 1750pts = 2 tickets
Crust Bros = 1000pts = £35
Kricket = 3500pts = £100
Water House Project = 9000pts = 9 course tasting menu + pairing for 2 (Wed-Sat)
The Shed (Notting Hill) = 4000pts = £120
Mr Ji (Soho) = 4000pts = £120

How you earn Points
You will earn Points as you spend. You will earn:
1 point for every full £1 spent;
Extra points throughout the year when spending at merchants specificed within the mobile application
Your Points balance will be available to access in the mobile application.
Where a transaction is refunded any Points awarded that relate to the amount refunded will be removed from the Points balance.
You will not earn Points for cash advances. When you are in arrears or otherwise in breach of this agreement, you will not be entitled to earn or redeem your Points.

wow so you have to spend 3.5k to get points equal to £100 that works out well lol

Just also read on some there is a 2x bonus this month.

This sounds like those nectar cards where every 2000’th loaf of bread purchased gave you a free freddo

Confused as to to how to read this. Is it you get an additional 2000 points if you spend 60 or 2000 of purchases gets you 60.

Sorry these were the reward values page - i.e. what you can spend points on. Using 2000 points gets you a £60 value spend in the restaurant.

Wow……

Thanks for clarifying :slight_smile:

Makes me super glad I don’t live in London, they must be going for a very niche market
