We are gonna beat starling to ipo ltd

Monzo is currently implementing an administrative change to its structure and, as part of that, all the Company’s shareholders have transferred their shares in the Company to a new UK holding company named MBHG Limited (company number: 14785367) (which will soon be renamed as Monzo Bank Holding Group Limited in due course) (the “Holding Company ”).

I think that’s a little harsh. But thank you, I am very smart. And my wife would agree on the second point.

MBHG has a certain familiar ring to it

MBHG

:rotating_light: Wait :rotating_light: rearrange the letters → Monzo Germany confirmed!

It’s a way to streamline and make its shareholdings more transparent, more tax-efficient, and more simplified if it was to ever IPO, sell or align itself better. I’ve been through two of these demergers myself and both ended in a sale or acquisition. Interesting times though!

Does it mean shareholders also have shares in all Monzo assets too, such as real estate etc.?

What does the crowdcube message actually mean?!

Myself and my partner hold shares on there, both existing customers, I’m an existing business banking customer. Both declined for a business bank account with no explanation recently.

Would like to sell the shares and disassociate from the bank.

What are people’s thoughts about the latest communications from Crowdcube regarding the transferral of shares from Monzo Bank Limited to MBHG Limited?

It feels like they’re gearing up towards a more streamlined company structure. But also (and this is just hypothetical) but I’ve been party to, first-hand, company structures changing like this to prepare for acquisitions. Technically, I guess it means that shareholders are now shareholders of all Monzo subsidiaries (correct me if I’m wrong)?

I appreciate their honesty in the comms though, and it will definitely benefit them when they focus on a global market.

Curious as to what the thoughts are of others?

how to go about offloading these?

There’s no system in place to do this. Probably not until an IPO occurs.

There were murmurs of being able to write to Monzo requesting selling the shares back to Monzo, but each request had to be approved by the board.

Other than that slim chance, you’ll have to wait.
