but an update to categories is coming 
(ish), Hugo mentioned yesterday that
in the meantime, I’d recommend tagging your transactions with Emoji, I’ve explained how I use them here
which enables you to count the number of transactions of a particular type, although getting to totals / average spend is still a challenge.
