If your pot direct debit fails, it will take it from the main account.
But really Monzo should solve this but allowing all pots to be part of the balance. So if your main account is -£100 but you have £200 in a pot, you’re not overdrawn. It’s bonkers they do it like this and it punishes people who aren’t as financially stable.
I’d like to setup my own overdraft but interest free. I don’t want it to show as a balance though (i.e. still show negative if I dip into it).
Could you develop a new pot type so that effectively people can pay real money in and out of the overdraft Pot?

Ok, bear with my rambling logic here before saying it makes no sense.
A future facility, where users with poor or no credit score, can arrange an over draft facility to match a “locked” pot, where monzo open an overdraft to match the pot or the pot times a small multiple say 1.2.
