Sounds like some code refactoring really, so nothing that significant (although maybe it will fix crashes and improve performance slightly).
I am sure there will be some new features lurking behind flags, though - we’ll just have to wait for an Android teardown to work out what!

Fresh new icon ahoy
The launch splash screen image also has the new icon - but Monzo users in your payee list have the old icon as their badge. Obviously a work in progress.
Does everyone have the weird white line under the monzo icon?

Yes. Doesn’t surprise me. Monzo’s quality control RE their app icons is notoriously bad. Whoever is responsible for uploading these just doesn’t care to check it’s actually done right.
Black culture and Monzo plus/premium icons all had issues when they were first added.
Have you submitted feedback in TestFlight for this?
I’m not actually on TestFlight but this thread seemed like a semi appropriate place to post the issue
